Aaron Hansford Scouting ReportVery good speed for the position. Quick and agile. Explosive off the snap. Lateral quickness is subpar. Slow to change direction. Lacks a lot of upper body strength. Doesn’t show great tackling ability. Doesn’t wrap up consistently, tries instead to use the sideline and his hit power. Very rarely do you see him bring a ball carrier to the ground on his own.

Areas for ImprovementDoesn’t work through traffic too well. Struggles to locate the runner. Not particularly adept at timing his rushes. Flashes a little shoulder dip to have some decent bend, but struggles to work through blocks for the most part. I don’t think Hansford is a great space defender. Contains fairly well, but doesn’t collapse on his contain nearly as well.

Aaron Hansford Career at SchoolAaron Hansford was coached by Joe Patterson at St. John’s College High School in Washington, D.C., rated as a 4-Star prospect by 247Sports, ESPN, Scout, Rivals. Aaron in 2016, saw limited action in two games before suffering a season ending injury, granted a medical redshirt. As a redshirt freshman, he appeared in seven games making three catches for 39 yards. He recorded four tackles while on special teams. In 2018, did not see any action due to an injury. As a redshirt junior, Aaron played in all 13 games, making the start at LSU. Made the move from wide receiver to linebacker in the offseason. In 2020, started nine games. He finished second on the team in tackles (49). As a graduate, Aaron played in all 12 games making 11 starts. He paced the team with 89 tackles and third on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss.
