Rumoured that the Jesters will sign Detroit LB Alex Anzalone in free agency. Apparently Anzalone fancies a reunion with his former DC and isn't worried about Glenn's future departure as he is at the back end of his own career. The hope would be that Anzalone can provide leadership which was last drawn from C J Moseley.

He's a good player and he has apparently made it known that he wants to come to the Jets. The fact that a player of his pedigree really wants to come here blows my mind but I believe that he would be an excellent signing.

Anzalone would be a great signing.
He is a vocal leader on defense and in the Locker Room.
Just don't pay Him for his past performance.
He's got a few productive Seasons left in him.
Don't overpay for a guy heading for the downside of his productivity.
2 or 3 yr deal would be ideal.
Anything more might come back to bite you.

This isn't a problem within reason. Detroit are in a cap bind which is why we are able to outbid them. Anzalone will retire before the guys we draft in the next two years complete their rookie contracts and need to be paid.

Fortunately, Anzalone has said nothing about the Jets and or Glenn. He has repeatedly stated he wants to return to Detroit. Detroit has less cap space at first glance but with only $4 million in dead cap, they can free up significant money.
Is probably around the 7th to 8th best LB available in Free agency . Hopefully the Jets don't sign him. He has trouble with injuries going back to college and the injuries are only getting more frequent in recent years

Pauline says he hasn't completely closed the door on returning to Detroit but that if he leaves he is close to AG and wants to reunite with his former defensive coordinator. That's what Pauline says according to an article by John Maakaron. Who knows how true that is ?

He's supposedly Glenn's buddy, so they sign him to multi year deal and Glenn gets canned.
What happens then?
