Are the Jets a cursed franchise?

Jets faithful, I know all of our threads and post are pretty much the same as of right now. Frustrations over the fact our team SUCKS and just can't get it right this year. Problem with that is that they can't get it right this year, they can't seem to get it right any year. Since 1969 anyway!!! Closest they ever came IMOO is 1998 with Vinny, Curtis, Keyshawn, Crebet and the crew. 1982 they were pretty tuff as well but 1998 they were a force to be reckoned with. So here we are from that point to now and just can't get it right.

Lets forget about from 1969 to now, lets just focus on 1998 to now. We haven't had a franchise QB since Broadway Joe. Yes Chad Pennington IMO could have been our next one but injuries killed that. Hence, is this part of a curse? Then they have made efforts to draft QBs and sign some or trade for but striked out each time. Hence, is this part of a curse? Our HCs and other coaching staff besides Parcells have been bogus. Even Rex during his time flaked out. Yes Mangini and Herm were ok, BUT!!! Hence, is this part of a curse? Then there was the real fuck you when Bill Belibitch quits on us after a day. Hence, is this part of a curse?

All I'm saying is this curse thing is probably bogus as well but if it is, then what is it? BAD LUCK, HORRIBLE OWNER, HORRIBLE COACHING STAFFS? This team has been as active as any during drafts, FAs and trades and nothing has worked. I remember the year they had 4 first round draft picks. I believe that was during the Herm era and they drafted very well (Abraham, Pennington, Ellis and Becht). From the Parcells era through the Mangini eras, the Jets have drafted very well. Just not at QB!!! Even the Rex era they landed a few great draft picks (Mo, Richardson and Pryor).

I guess the problem is in all of these drafts, a QB hasn't been mentioned other then Pennington and he didn't pan out because of injuries. For once, it would be nice if we could luck up and draft a Dak Prescott. In speaking of that, we could of but they choice to draft Hackenberg, who can't even get team reps right now (freaking joke). It would be nice if we could draft that powerhouse player in the first round like other teams have like Elliot this year or A. Cooper or Beckham Jr. and on and on and on.

Note: Ofcourse I know there are franchises worse off then us. Detroit, Cleveland, San Diego, Buffalo (going to four SBs and not winning one) etc-etc... I could care less about other franchises, I'm a Jets fan and that's all my concern is about.

Cursed with STUPID GM's that cant Draft a QB since 1965! Dart Board drafts for QB's & pass on great QB's since 65. I'm sick of it. Geno College stats 4ooo yds passing & 2200 of the YAK yrds & INT's! Hackenburg stats even worse & hasnt had a good year since Freshman. High School for Geno & College Freshman for Hack? Really? Stupid.

The whole idea of a cursed franchise to me is nonsense. Unfortunately, the owner has always made bad hiring/firing choices. To me the way out of this is to hire a known commodity. Or, hire the only guy I can think that has experience with the Jets and was a very good coach. That person is Mike Westhoff.........

Cursed? no
Bad? yes

If this was mainstream industry, the Jets would have been out of business years ago. They are just a failed organization. No way to turn that around without a monumental change.

The Jets are the Chrysler Corp of football.

For a long time I have called it "The Curse of Pete Rozelle".
When Joe Namath said "Welcome to the American Football League" in the winning locker room after SB III, the look on Rozelle's face told me that newly combined would stop at nothing to get back at the Jets. Some examples:
1) Rules called against the Jets that were never called on any other team. (The "You can't jump up to try to knock down a field goal attempt more than 15 yards past the line uf scrimmage" rule. It was put in to prevent teams like the Cowboys using ex-basketball players to stand under the goal posts and knock down long, low field goal attempts. The rule was called on a Jets linebacker who was in his normal position, jumping up and down , waving his arms to distract the kicker. He was nowhere near the end zone or the goal posts. It was the only time that rule was ever invoked. The penalty gave the other team a first down that led to a game winning touchdown instead of a game tying field goal.)
2) When both NY teams asked the league office to help them find a new GM, the other team got George Young. The league sent the Jets Jim Kensil.
3) Scheduling the Jets to play a Thursday (or Saturday) game after a late Sunday or even a Monday game.
Yes, the curse exists. I'm sure you can name other examples.
Just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get us.
