here is an abstract from NIH Library of Medicine re: epilepsy as it relates to athletes competing in contact sports:

We discuss the impact of epilepsy on the lives of athletes involved in contact sports. Recommendations for epilepsy patients with regard to contact sports have changed over the years from avoidance to encouragement. It is conceivable that exercise could exacerbate seizures either directly, through hyperventilation, or indirectly by alteration of anticonvulsant levels. Seizures could also be injurious in contact sports, and recurrent minor head trauma could worsen epilepsy. However, evidence to the contrary abounds and very few case reports support these notions. Exercise benefits individuals with epilepsy in many ways including improved seizure control, mood, and quality of life. We suggest that athletes with epilepsy be evaluated on an individual basis, and follow sensible guidelines while participating in contact sports. There is no significant evidence to suggest that contact sports are harmful to athletes with epilepsy; however, common sense rules still apply.

Zach Wilson, like Josh Allen, Dan Marino,Patrick Mahomes,RusselWilson,and Many Many more Jets passed on. So would it surprise me that since Namath Jets passing on the obvious correct QB they traded up or was sitting there and took the Wrong guy? NOPE!!!! We Will Find Out if Current GM is like all the previous GMs of Jets past using a Dart Bord with names to select QB. Could be another Hackenburg or could be Zach Wilson Ive been saying before end of NFL season when Jets won taking themselves out of Trevor L. Race that Jags made sure to lose to get. I like to think this GM is best we have had since the 70s. So far Jets GM has done a great job in Players and Cap along with Drafting.

As a Brit I've seen very little of BYU. Our satellite provider concentrates on the SEC and occasionally Big 10. It is a concern that of the top four QBs taken the only one not to play in the National Championship will belong to the Jets. If he busts and we end up with Brian Hoyer as our QB after the awful season we endured to get that #2 pick, it will be a bigger millstone in our history than passing on Marino. A career-defining moment for Joe (who we trust).

I'm not entirely sold on Wilson either. I still think Fields is going to be a player in this League. When the Jets won those Meaningless games I thought Fields was going to be the pick. Fields has shown toughness, HAS PLAYED ON THE BIG STAGE.......AND SUCCEEDED. He has the talent and same cred or better than any QB in the class. Is He better than Wilson? Time will tell. If you go by the numbers Fields is the pick. Good Luck JD. That is a Franchise altering decision as has been mentioned earlier. Tough Call.

thats a winning plan. but I wouldnt watch it or root for it
