All you need to know is, he's not on the field! Until he plays well on a regular basis, he's a bust. Watch, he'll shine in year 4 when his rookie contract is about up.
Injuries happen in Football man. His Rookie LG got him rolled up and he ended up missing the entire season because of it but what about his Rookie season? We all fell in love with him with nicknames such as the Big Ticket and Highway 77. 14 games played with 13 starts as a Rookie and played 81% of our yearly snaps. I can't quit on Mekhi Becton and all because of a year #2 injury; not when as a Rookie he looked like the most dominant Jets player I've seen since (keyword 'since') #24. He single handedly shut down and dominated the likes of Nick Bosa/Joey Bosa and so many others.
It's disheartening to see our entire fan base completely forget his Rookie season and only harp over a football injury of year #2.

He missed at minimum an additional 12 games post op because he could not lose enough weight to practice in order to get into game shape.
He was unable to get into practice shape. That's a problem.

I forgot all about injuries happen in football, thanks. Look, I'm rooting for him, but, he has to play. Until then, he's just a big oaf that can't stay on the field. How long are we suppose to hold onto that rookie season?

Linderbaum is a bit undersized in terms of weight and girth, meaning lower body...So many tell me @ 6'3 that Tyler Linderbaum is too small @ 290 lbs.
there is no denying that LaFleur had his guys from day one but he will have to change his idea of who belongs and who doesn't... LaFleur will have to be open to a real competition and see that the longevity and future is with Becton not Fant...
His mom is a caterer. His dad is obese. Mehki will be struggle with his weight. There were reports of him being overweight at beginning of training camp. Then pics of him pushing trucks. And then reports of Carl Lawson destroying him in practice. Red Flags everywhere.
