You get the feeling the Bell ouster could really backfire on Gase in a few ways.

It will be interesting to see how the team responds Sunday against the Miami Dolphins (4:05 p.m. ET, CBS). The locker room was stung by the Bell news. If the team goes out and stinks it up against a mediocre opponent, it's fair to wonder if Jets CEO Christopher Johnson will say enough is enough.

If Bell enjoys immediate success with the Chiefs, it will be another dent on Gase's reputation -- perhaps the final one. Jets ownership won't be keen on watching Bell play well for another team after struggling in Gase's system, although let's be fair: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes can make anyone look good.

I'm curious to see how Gase divides the workload between Frank Gore, 37, and rookie La'Mical Perine. A week ago, he said he didn't want to overload Perine. Now he's saying Perine will have a bigger role. He should, but we all know Gase's affinity for Gore. If Sunday becomes the Gore Show ... like, what's the point?

That being said, if he looks like the old Bell and is killing it over there, is Gase the only one who deserves to be shown the door???? Douglas is orchestrating all of these ousters right along with Gase. They are buddies and together are getting rid of talent off of the roster. Now their are whispers of Quinnen being shopped as well (this is exactly how the Jamal Adams situation started out).

So is Gase shown the door? Is Douglas shown it right along with him? Do we finally bring in someone to run the damn show and have Christopher Johnson fall back into the only fucking role he is capable of handling (sign the damn checks and GTF out of the way).

He should look like the old bell. K.C. has a legit QB and a plethora of weapons, similar to what Pittsburgh had. Teams cant focus on bell or they will get picked apart.The Jets have no one so teams can sell out. Theres no one on this offense that teams have to gameplan around. Bell should thrive there. They were desperate for RB help. And Bell should offer what they desperately need.
Douglas isn't going anywhere. The team is in a full rebuild. Yes again, still. Seems like 50 years but new GM doing what Miami did last year. Tearing it to the ground. Getting rid of disgruntled players. Building his vision. He was smart enough to keep turning down the job until he got his salary where he wanted it and 6 years guaranteed. He has positioned the team to add talent in the upcoming offseason. Were going to have to ride it out and see what the roster looks like next season. Hopefully he adds the right players for a new HC. Both remain to be seen.

Bell is nothing big. Going to Chiefs was attempt to make it easier for him to look good with Defenses all in pass protection giving him holes to run and catch passes. I hope Jets make it a point to put big hits on the lazy bastard . Jets Defense can knock Bell out of his cleats will be the biggest enjoyment of my season. One thing to be paid big by my Jets, but then to play like the 3rd string RB pisses me off. BTW does anyone feel Mosley will be the big star after being off for 2 seasons? Bell took 1 year and looked awful and Mosley will be worse. Another awful over paid signing.

Mosely was never the big star to begin with. He is on par with Avery Williamson. Compare their stats, you will really want to know what was in Macc's coffee cup. Sitting home collecting 2 1/2 times what Averys making playing. Terrible signing.

Andy Reid will utilize him for all his talents, as a receiver and as a back...

remember that was the rookie's only 2nd game this season over a 100 yards so it is not like he does this every game...

Bell will spark there offense in yardage from scrimmage...

Helaire is very inconsistent. He had a big game week 1 with 138 yards, 38 yards week 2 , 64 yards in both games 3 and 4 , 40 yards in week 5 before his big game vs Buffalo.
Buffalo is far from stout. They are ranked 25 th in the league for run defense, 5 spots behind the Jets.
