This is a big board mock of all prospects in their current big board rankings. This is just matching the big board rankings to Jets picks lets see if we get a good draft from it:

11. CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma (JR, 6' 2", 198 pounds)

Experienced lining up both inside and outside, Lamb has exceptional ball skills with a special ability to contort his body and adjust to the ball in the air. While he doesn't have elite speed (he's fast enough, though), Lamb is dangerous after the catch with his vision in the open field and ability to make would-be tacklers miss.

48. Cesar Ruiz, IOL, Michigan (JR, 6' 3", 307 pounds)

With the versatility to start anywhere along the interior offensive line, Ruiz started the past two seasons at center with five starts at right guard as a true freshman in 2017. Technically sound with active hands and quick feet, Ruiz is my top-ranked interior offensive lineman.

68. Matt Peart, OT, Connecticut (rSR, 6' 7", 318 pounds)

79. Matt Hennessy, IOL, Temple (rJR, 6' 4", 307 pounds)

120. Ben Breedson, IOL, Michigan (SR, 6'5", 315 pounds)

158. Jacob Breeland TE OREGON (rSR, 6'5", 252 pounds)

191. Derrek Tuszka EDGE NORTH DAKOTA STATE (JR, 6'5", 251 pounds)

211. Isaiah Wright WR Temple (SR, 6'2", 220 pounds)

well the power rankings suggest we go WR, OL, TE, EDGE in this draft <<< not too shabby!

If you're hoping for OL you've got your wish. A little heavy on the IOL particularly when you consider our FA signings. Assuming (big assumption) that Fant is the answer at LT, this sets up the OL for years to come. Plus, you get a top level WR. Hard to argue with the logic if a few things fall our way.

Just read a really good article by my least favorite Jets reporter, Manish Mehta on the Jets new draft process implemented by Joe Douglas. Goes into detail on the differences on how players are now evaluated under the Douglas regime vs the previous GM, MM. A real worthwhile read in trying to get an idea as to how the Jets draft this year and in the future.

Definitely was a very good read. I like all I have seen and read from Douglas so far. I know the off-season is the Jet fans greatest time for optimism, but I think they may have gotten this right this time.
And on a totally different side note, is it just me or is Manish not nearly as much of a twat as he used to be?

I haven't read his stuff lately, so I can't comment on his degree of twattiness. But this one was different in tone from his tripe that I read in the past.

The article was not very twatty, but if you listen to his interviews he is as snarky as ever.

He's basically a guy who knew/knows nothing about football, yet continues to promote himself as an expert while he stirs up drama to make headlines.
