A testament to how much of a bumbing doofus this cs really is. Bilal Powell has been an excellent player for this team and it's only due to an injury to Forte that Powell got enough carries.
gailey's use has of powell has always been a bit odd.. enough so, that i figured he would walk in free agency..
that said, whatever issues gailey/bowles may have with him, get over it.. powell has to be the starter the rest of the season, regardless of if & when forte is ready to go..

You've got to wonder why Powell, and to a lesser extent ASJ don't get the run they deserve. Hate it when coaches have blind spots.

Watching Powell run yesterday, all I was thinking was "where has this been all year?" Powell has great vision, and finds the holes to make big runs. Forte runs into tacklers too much. I think Powell has always been very underrated since he's been a Jet. We MUST make him the focal point of the ground game.
I like ASJ, too. No excuse not to get him the ball more.

Big sure handed targets are a QBs best friend, especially a young QB. Think how much our downfield game would improve if safeties had to worry about another short to intermediate target.
I always said that Bilal Powell deserves and has earned the chance to be the lead back, and rightfully showed why he can be that guy...

since Forte has been listed on the injury report with a knee, hope the injury he sustained he is placed on IR opening the door for Powell to become the featured guy... I know don't wish injury on anyone but he was injured and knocked out of the game due to a lingering injury he had for the most of the season... Yet he still got the brunt of the hand-offs... whereas Powell has repeatedly showed him up on limited touches...
