New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady restructured his contract according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Does Brady restructuring his deal mean New England can keep Darrelle Revis? What else could the Patriots do now that Brady has restructured his deal?

Revis isn't the reason Brady re-structered. The Pats were flat against the cap next year. They are just pushing money down the road the way Tannenbaum did here. there will be eventually a pay back. Expect other pats players to restructure in the near future.

Bellichick knows that in all probability Brady is gong to start to deteriorate, though you wouldn't know it this year. Bellichick want's another ring or two to cement him as the GOAT HC. he needs to keep his team together another couple of years.

When Brady goes on the decline, Lil Bill will retire. And leave the next guy in a real cap mess. He did learn something from Big Bill

Revis may be a by product of that, as long as they can get him for 12 million,(that's what they paid him this year, and what the Jets offered him in 2012) and not the 16 he wants.

They also need to pay other players who's money is coming due.

Revis is for sure a part of it. It just drives me crazy that media guys want to over dramatize the Revis aspect of it.

Other guys need to be paid also.

If Revis leaves NE he is more likely to end up with Rex in Atlanta or SF then back with us.

Brady isn't seeing any less money in his pocket. This just gives them a little wiggle room for bonuses for other players.

I don't care what anyone say but no way Revis gets the $20 mil he is do next year. They have some key free agents for next season that will need to be signed.
