I think Breece Hall is going to bring another level to the offense. Carter is hurt too much.
It’s an impossible position to be in for Carter to be as slight as he is and to be expected to be the bell cow and stay healthy for a full year. That in my honest opinion is the main reason for the devalued status of the position

IMHO, Carter isn't meant or breed to be a bell cow back. He can be for a few games, here and there, it spurts etc-etc... He is meant to be a EXCELLENT COMPLIMENTARY RB. Put him in that roll and he'll excel but as a primary back he will most likely get injured faster or his production will drop as the year geos on, if he stays healthy the entire year.

Breece appears to have that Bell Cow back in him, as he proved that throughout his college career. In college Carter was a 1-2 punch and the secondary back there. So what would make us think he can do it now? Besides, not many RBs his size can last as the main guy a full season, let alone a few full seasons. With Breece and Carter, there is a real chance of greatness here that we will witness. In fact, the entire football world will!

That or we'll probably need another back in 2 years.

Injuries can happen anytime to any players and putting more carries and catches on any player can where you down. Players like the Curtis Martin's and Emmitt Smith's come a dime a dozen. With both these players combining, taking pressure off each other and a little extra help from other backs here and there, they can last a very long time in this league and be very successful.

Well I think if we get 4 years out of Carter, it won't be a bad thing. But like @Tinstar said, just keeping it real.

my favorite RB aside from Curtis and Freeman was Billy Sims. Happy to see him choose a great #.
