Has Scouted for Titans, Texans, and Past 3 Seasons for Rams

General manager Mike Maccagnan and the Jets have named Brian Heimerdinger the team's director of player personnel.

This season Heimerdinger was in his third season as a scout for the St. Louis Rams. As a player personnel analyst, he evaluated both pro and college players. His pro responsibilities included evaluating all players on nine NFL rosters, and on the college side he was the Rams' Southwest area scout.

Heimerdinger enters his sixth season in the NFL. Before the Rams, he served as a scouting intern with Houston when Maccagnan was in the Texans' scouting department, and he also worked with the Tennessee Titans.

Heimerdinger played wide receiver at Colorado State before finishing his collegiate career at Northern Colorado.

Thanks for this. From what I have heard, it seems like he is a good hire. He is the son of our former Offensive Coordinator. I like the talent on the Rams team the last few season. They have a great nucleus of young players. I wonder how much Brian had to do with it. I am guessing, quite a bit.

I do like the team they put together at least when they have 100 first rounders they seem to hit on most of them.

You know his father passed away a few years ago right? I have heard a lot of praise for this hire. I keep hearing bright young mind with a real eye for talent.
