Calvin has combined speed, balance, quickness, vision and crisp cuts to leave defensive backs and linebackers in the dust. He has elite balance tight roping the sideline and in-and-out of his breaks. He shows excellent start stop ability and burst. He has elite speed and cutting ability. He has good hands and toughess.

Calvin has impressive athlete with very quick acceleration to reach his top speed quickly and stretch the field. He has very good body control and smooth movements. He plays fast and explosive. He is a natural pass catcher with reliable hands and very good focus. He snatches the ball out of the air and shows concentration to make acrobatic catches look easy.

Areas for Improvement

Jackson Jr. does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, allowing the ball into his pads and chest. He can be overmatched at the line of scrimmage when physical defenders get their hands on him. He struggles in press coverage. He does not always use his hands to secure deep throws, and NFL defenders may be able to knock him off his route because of his slight frame.

Calvin Jackson Jr. Career at Washington State

Jackson Jr. attended Coral Springs Charter in Fort Lauderdale, Fa., as a junior he caught 37 passes for 627 yards and 7 touchdowns. As a senior he was named 4A All State first team after cacthing 51 passes for 897 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was rated a three star prospect by 247Sports.com.

Calvin attended Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas. As a freshman, named All Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Second Team after catching 49 passes for 649 yards and five touchdowns. Following year his first with Washington State, he appeared in all 13 games recording 26 catches for 287 yards and two touchdowns.

During his senior campaign he appeared in four games catching 10 passes for 117 yards and one touchdown before redshirting the season. Returned in 2020 and appeared in one game, caught two passes in win at Oregon State. He eared his bachelor's degree in humanities.

With a year of eligibility left due to the Covid 19 pandemic, Calvin returned to the Cougars in 2021. Calvin's best collegiate season recording 66 receptions for 987 yards and seven touchdowns. He also had one carry for three yards.

Calvin Jackson Jr. has good hands, accepts the ball fluidly on most throws and is ready to make a play afterword. He is willing to play through traffic and makes tough catches look easy. He has the toughness against bigger and/or more physcial defenders. He will need to continue to grow his functional play strength but the willingness is there.
