Another sham competition.
Following training camp, Martin had clearly outperformed Catanzaro. I didn't see anything in the preseason games, except Catanzaro missing, that would lead to Catanzaro winning the job.
So the Jets are ALL in for the youth movement, except for kicker. These guys have their head up their ass.

With this team, I'd go with the better FG guy. I don't anticipate many kickoffs, but I do expect the team to have drives stall out in FG range.

That would have been my thinking as well. We won't be kicking off too much. Just punting...
