On Friday morning Matt Miller of Bleacher Report released his updated “Scouting Notebook” featuring the latest draft rumors for every NFL team.

The insight he had on the NY Jets was pretty revealing:

“I did learn throughout calls and texts this week that they are very high on Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. He’s WR1 on the team’s board and wouldn’t be a surprise pick at No. 11 overall.”

CeeDee Lamb would be a perfect fit in the NY Jets offense.

The 6-foot-2, 198-pound receiver brings physicality and toughness to the table. On top of that, he’s got terrific hands and perhaps his strongest trait is what he can do with the ball once it gets in his hands.

As appealing as Lamb is, I wonder if this is just to entice a team to trade up for him.

And how is Darnold going to get the ball to him if he's flat on his arse? OL is still the #1 priority.

people keep forgetting without a play maker at receiver, the quarterback no matter how long he has to throw won't have anyone to throw too...

last year we were lucky to get 2.2 seconds to get rid of the ball, but with this line hopefully it will give him an extra second or two, with targets including LeVeon Bell, our tight ends and a star wide out it will be harder to target where Sam is going with the ball...
