oddly enough the defense played well, it was the offense and special teams that were a joke... why wouldn't he look rattled this was a game that had trap written all over it and the team came out flatter than flat bread...
they have to reign in Fitzpatrick not a little... a lot... everyone will say yea he had a bad game, seriously? this is number 2 in 3 weeks... they need more urgency from jump street as the season goes on these next few weeks are going to be painful, if he doesn't get a handle on this team...

The defense was impressive considering how long they were on the field also.
Fitz was wildly inaccurate all game and he never got it going. 2 fumbles didn't help,plus Fitz fumbled and recovered for a first down. Non of the receivers looked sharp. Another fumble by jalin Marshall.
An all around failure. I think it is fair to now start asking Bowles why he can't have his team ready on GameDay. This is turning into a theme. Our defense should be destroying QB's, honestly rex was better with defensive game plans and in game changes.
There was a lot of chatter this week about Decker and Brandon not being Game ready, I'd like to know why Decker had 1 target, Brandon didn't fight for any balls.
I think we're better off playing robbie Anderson at wr4, marshal as kickoff specialist and a Percy Harvin type reverse sweep guy.

Bowles is the Jets biggest weakness in my opinion, greater than Fitzpatrick if for no other reason you can sit Fitzpatrick and turn this into a QB development season and not have the season be a total waste.
I always saw weeks 3 through 7 being a dangerous minefield because the Jets are going through a murderers' row of coaches: Andy Reid, Pete Carroll, Bruce Arians, Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh. Does anyone have any confidence that Todd Bowles will not get vastly outreached in all of these games? I think the Jets are legitimately staring at the possibility of 1 and 6 in the face unless this guy starts to grow up as a coach and to consider that he cannot be stubborn all the time and stick with his favorites and he has to adjust the game plan as the game goes along and prepare a better game plan to being with. Phil Simms once said that when he was with the Giants they judged the opponent by who its coach was. Well the Jets have a serious problem coming up and beyond unless Bowles begins to show something.
Have plenty of confidence in Bowles, this team well the defense does its part because he is able to motivate them... Offensively is the issue, stemming from game plan... It is like Gailey is doing the same shit from last year and everyone knows it, so they know how to key and take away the only two weapons Fitz is targeting... Yes Enunwa has stepped it up, but the issue against the Chiefs was Brandon Marshall wasn't 100% and wasn't aggressive enough to bail out his quarterback as he did last year... Marshall pulled up in many routes avoiding the collisions, last year he was initiating them...
So if teams know that Marshall is playing scared they basically created a handicap for our offense led by our arrogant signal caller who thinks he can thread the needle believing his prime targets will bail him out, unlike yesterday thee worst performance seen in four decades Fitz needs to utilize ALL the weapons including getting both Forte and Powell more involved...
Someone needs to work on with Jalin on how to secure the ball when he is running with it, reminds me of David Nelson who was very loose on how he carried it as well... Jalin is a very aggressive and elusive runner but securing the ball is a must...
Like Buster Skrine stated we need to start faster, seems like we don't get warmed up until the second half... Receiving the kick off start of the game we go 3 and out we might as well just let the opponent get the ball both beginning of the game and beginning of 2nd half the way we come out of the gates...
Rhythm on offense is key and so far only at Buffalo did we build any... Yeah as much as that was payback game there was more in it for Fitz and it showed but seems as high as he was last week he folded this week... Pulling the reigns back on Fitz has to be a consideration, and Bowles needs to make sure Gailey like Fitz sticks with a more decisive ground to air attack rather than simply chucking it down field... Both Forte and Powell can really establish a one two punch that would open up the field to allow big plays just like the Bills game week 2, like [MENTION=46]Jetgreg[/MENTION] said this schedule is brutal so we don't need to be flinging it because 1-6 is a real possibility with Fitz being Fitz...

I agree G but you should not have to reign in a 12 million dollar qb that is over 30.......A fool & his money are soon parted. WOODY

More and more I think he's in over his head.

i've already started to believe bowles is in over his head as well..
good or bad, right or wrong, i'm already tired of the stoic arms crossed blank stare when things are going from bad to worse..
seems to me, we're going to learn a lot about bowles in the next few weeks.. good or bad, right or wrong.....
It is simple Bowles needs to find a way to communicate with the offense as he does with the defense, give him time I mean he did have a whopping successful failure in his first season... Yea I know so did Rex but Rex didn't have these kinda weapons on offense, straight potential if the reigns are pulled in a bit...
I hate to say it most would chop my head off but Fitzpatrick > Sanchez by far, this is saying something since one was a top 5 pick and the other undrafted... Both of them in the heat of the moment forget the fundamentals of playing the position and on instinct goes to #1 or #2 automatically regardless if they are triple teamed or not... They both fail more times then they succeed playing on instinct because neither were developed the right way... This is why they fail more times then they win...
