If Becton is either injured or getting his butt handed to him within the first couple weeks of the season, I’ll stop defending him.

Otherwise, I think the criticism he’s getting is just piling on. He’s under the microscope largely due to media doomsday types like Dick Cimini.

HC Robert Saleh says: T Mekhi Becton will continue to work with the performance staff as minicamp concludes. Saleh said Becton's knee is fine structurally and he expects him to practice once training camp starts. Says Becton has the ability to be transcendent.

I think Saleh is more tired of answering questions about Becton's weight than Becton's weight.
As an OL for him to struggle to get down to 365 from 375 might not b worth it. He is gifted with a great first step, and getting around him is a task. Just stay on the field please.
