Day two of pro days March 8, the Jets were at five pro days...

Starting off with Alabama:

The Jets represented by Head Coach Todd Bowles was there to see two outside linebackers and a safety...

Ryan Anderson a third round prospect could be compared to last year's third round selection Jordan Jenkins... A well round prospect to line up across from Jenkins would give us two three down linebackers that can play in space, set the edge while giving a viable pass rush...

Tim Williams probably the second or third pure edge rusher in this draft... His stock took a hit and likely to end up being a high second round prospect, or end of the first round option... Depending on his off the field issues and if this regime is willing to deal with him he could be a serious option as rush linebacker...

Eddie Jackson didn't run drills as he is still in recovery... But what I heard that Todd Bowles wanted to talk to team doctors to get the real update on his progression...

Next was Colorado's Pro Day:

The Jets were on the scene to see a defensive lineman, Josh Tupou and corner Chidobe Awuzie... Tupou is considered to be a nose tackle with his size and girth, at 6'3" 325 lbs. ... Tupou is considered a seventh round prospect... Corner Chidobe Awuzie is a strong second round prospect roughly around the high 50's... Awuzie is a lock-down corner and fluid athlete with terrific awareness for the position. Good closing speed and times his leaps well to break up receptions. Four-year starter with extensive experience coming out of the competitive Pac-12...

Local Pro Day Temple:

The Jets were on hand to watch a few prospects mainly Outside Linebacker Haason Reddick who has vaulted his stock to top 25 maybe even top 10 consideration... Other options were on tap like corner Nate Hairston, offensive lineman Dion Dawkins who showed he could be a left tackle instead of the projected guard at the next level and RB Jahad Thomas were the other top three interests... Hairston likely to be a late day three prospect possibly landing in the sixth round... Hairston shows good awareness from zone and his physical style and willingness to come tackle... The Jets may have interest in Jahad Thomas if they trade Matt Forte which is an option this off season...

Jets ran Oklahoma's receiver drills:

The focus most teams were there to see was RB Joe Mixon but the Jets were there to see WR Dede Westbrook many considered to be comparison to Brandin Cooks... Jets ran the RB/WR receiving drills and focused on three prospects including Westbrook... WR Dede Westbrook ran a 4.34 and a 4.38 40-yard dash... The other two were RB Samarje Perine and FS Ahmad Thomas...

The final Pro Day was Kentucky:

The Jets were on hand to watch center Jon Toth who is considered to be the fifth best center in this year's draft... Toth is a tough, four-year starter. Will appeal to teams looking for centers who can operate in a power-based rushing scheme... While he's better in a phone booth than on the move, he understands his limitations and does a good job of staying within himself.... Toth is considered a fifth round prospect...
