On the short and stocky side but has the lateral agility and punch to make up for it. Finishes plays and will reset to recover and drive linemen out of the play. Doug anchors well and plays with the low center of gravity and natural bend to seal the inside lanes. Has violent hands with hustle to close off bubble screens and lead to flatten linebackers. Nasty demeanor and highly coachable. He has above-average football smarts and general intelligence. Plays with a nasty streak. Solid character and work ethic. He finishes and doesn't quit; competitor with a positive attitude and leadership traits that coaches admire.
Areas for Improvement Kramer loses leverage battles and plays with high pad level. Can be late off the snap. Finesse blocker with average arm length who doesn't use his hands well to win at the point of attack. Limits ability to mirror by leaning forward with his upper body and neglecting his lower body. Not strong enough and remains rough around the edges. He whiffs on blocks after beaten initially and lacks range and lateral quickness. Plays too high and without proper leverage, pad level and can be passive. Kramer flashes the ability to move his man with his hands, but is not yet consistent in this area.
