Keep an eye on Brandon Allen, QB from Arkansas graded out early 3rd day.

I don't care what the rumors say, all I want to see at the draft is the Jets picking Jack Conklin at #20. IMO, that is a GREAT pick at 20 overall. It's the safest pick. OL are traditionally the safest picks. The guy is bigger than a house. Conklin would absolutely be great value at 20 overall. Conklin also meets a major need.

Conklin is more likely to go 16 to the Lions...

From what I learned last year our 1st Rd pick won't come from need. It will be Best Player Available and that could be a DL. (God I hope not!)

That's a bunch of crap. The Jets don't even know if they're banking on Petty but somehow Charlie Campbell does. What a bunch of crap.

In a way it is kinda true can't bank on if Petty is still developmental at this point... This statement opens the door for the Jets to possibly draft another quarterback either to compete with Petty or surpass Petty as the future of the team...

Gotta remember Walter Football is bias to the Jets but this statement is true, Petty hasn't solidified himself as the potential future starter of the New York Jets as of January 27th...

I was not being petty! We don't know who we have at QB for the future today. We need to bring in another young QB at this time if we don't trade for a good young one. I don't think anyone that agrees with this does not realize that we need lots of help in other areas including the OL but we need to get that QB. If both turn out to be good we can trade one. If one turns out bad we can trade him to be Geno's back up somewhere. If they are both bad we can draft ahead of the Browns for a change. LOL

If Geno is a placeholder and all but done, and they dump him.... Why wouldn't they be drafting a developmental QB? Even if Petty looks great at backup, you eventually need to find HIS understudy.

If Fitz comes back, you're crazy if you count on more than 2-3 years of good play

Macc is very public about his philosophy of drafting aqb every year. The question is where.

Oline would be great, but olb would be the best position to draft. We don't even have a full unit of lbs, where as the o line we are worried about overpaying guys on the decline.

I think with everything being equal, we go lb this year and o line next year. That being said, oline wouldn't bother me this year.

I think even with Dak Prescott's DUI, his character is not a problem... His stock may have taken a hit but he still will be a late 4th/early 5th round selection...

I'm not suggesting the Jets are banking on Petty. Of course they're not at this point. Is there ANYONE on the Jets at any position they're banking on? No. Will they look to improve every position if they can. Yes. Unless they draft the next Brady, they won't bank on anyone. That's just building a team. My comment was about Charlie making it sound as if he has some insider information about what Mac and Bowles are thinking.
