No surprise for me as you may recall I alluded to that possibility Tuesday on the other thread. They did to him what they did to Cioffi which is to me a puzzling thing for a team to do because it makes them look indecisive and that's not good.

If other teams were knocking on his door and willing to give him a better opportunity he could have done that. My guess is that no one was interested and he was getting a paycheck (albeit small) from the Jets and was willing to be a camp body. I don't follow other teams as closely as I do the Jets, but I'd be willing to bet that this a common practice among teams.
