Ok so I like the show last year and really wanted to like it this year. The first few eps dragged .
Stared to,pick up a bit but........
Why oh why do " they " need to force the agenda ?
It's really becoming way to obvious. Heavy on the Hispanic survivors , Travis don't know what he's supposed to be?
One white adult who s female. A white young drug addict. An Asian girl .Not one white adult male . Talk about diversity.
Ok none of that really bothered me but ( now you know what's coming )
The leader of our castaways is the cool no nonsense black guy ,who is gay. Come on. TWD org has its group of gay and lesbians now they have to make another main character black and gay. Listen , I'm not racist in the least bit but I do see an agenda being forced .

An earlier report published in April 2011 by the Williams Institute estimated that 3.8 percent of Americans identified as gay/lesbian, bisexual, or transgender: 1.7 percent as lesbian or gay, 1.8 percent as bisexual, and 0.3 percent as transgender.

Yet in the apocalypse it seems like a way to survive is to be lgbt, I guess ?
Next up is the transgender survivor , you know he/she is just around the corner.

Having a single gay guy on a TV show is an "agenda"?
Having a bunch of Hispanic characters on a show that takes place in Southern California is an "agenda"?

Apparently you've never been to Los Angeles... Because that's not any sort weird ratio in that town.

I was also going to say that the whole concept of forcing an "agenda" baffles me.

These shows care about one thing and one thing only.....MONEY and ratings. If they are changing the demographics of what you see on TV, it's not to push an agenda, it's in response to society and the changes within it. It's in response to the people watching. Largely this show is watched by a younger, socially progressive audience... The people they know and relate to might mirror the show a lot more than your life does, that doesn't mean there is some sort of hidden message in the show.

If I was to watch re-runs of Hee Haw, I am quite sure it would would come off as overwhelmingly older-white, rural/southern and traditional. Is that a white agenda or is it the fact that the only people watching that show were older, white and rural?

Get your point , but think your missing mine.
If you don't think TV, movies , print, politics are driven by an agenda and is just the new way of life for the younger more acceptable generation well then whatever .

The agenda is driven by the consumption. Those consuming the show drive the agenda.
This is clear in just about every free enterprise

It's not some nefarious plot to promote a life style, it's just a mirror of society as a whole. It's profitability.
I work for a consumer package goods company, and I will tell you that a show with gay viewers is widely desired as prime for promotion and advertising.... Wanna know why? LGBT individuals have a larger disposable income than just about any other demographic group. The main reason is because of the much lower percentage of the LGBT community that have children. So if you're advertising travel sites, or alcohol or high end cars or even something as simple as televisions, you're appealing to a group that has the funds to purchase these items.

But Again, I don't understand in this particular case, how a single gay man and a Hispanic family group can be an example of a social agenda when you consider where this show takes place.

This show appeals to a younger, educated, diverse group. These folks don't have issues with seeing gay, or Hispanics on their TV set. People that DO care are old, less upwardly mobile, and most importantly... They're a dying breed.

Oh and as of 2010, only 28.7% of the population of LA is white (non Hispanic)

So it would weird to see this show with a majority of white characters.
