Philip Rivers has an awful throwing motion, but has a pretty impressive resume. I see the hitch in Darnold's motion too - but I would trust Bates on this, he is by all account an exceptional QB coach - he doesn't think it's an issue. I think McAdoo should focus on improving his coaching and not worry about Darnold.
FWIW, McAdoo has been making eyebrow raising comments in interviews since he got fired by the Giants. Ripping the Eagles (they can’t handle their own success) and Redskins, criticizing the Giants acquisition of Solder, bashing Ereck Flowers publicly, etc.
People are entitled to their opinions, but this guy probably isn’t going to land another coaching gig mouthing off like this. He was a crap coach, and now he’s making negative comments about other teams and players. That’s not going to help him find employment.
