The game was interesting. Got to see some guys in a game situation and they did win the game. I didn't think over all they were impressive but then again I didn't think they were terrible. They sucked at stopping the run consistently and tackling was piss poor but there were also some good moments and a few players that stood out. I'm thinking our run game will be much better this season and the QB room is looking much better as well.

listened on the radio on our way home from vacation, so basically got nothing from it other than that we gave up an easy td drive to open the game. That’s disheartening to me. Actually drove past the stadium at around 5 pm

Jets Open Preseason #2 of the Psychedelic Aaron Rodgers Era Today

The Jets open Aaron second preseason today with a game against the lowly team formerly known as the Redskins. The Jets and their fans, as usual in the preseason, have high hopes for the season with Super Bowl aspirations yet again.
Bare minimum, fans are hoping that Rodgers can out do last season by remaining uninjured for an entire offensive series rather then the 3 plays he was in for last season. Actually, isn’t 3 offensive plays an entire offensive series for the Jets?

Most starters won’t see any playing time today, but here‘s what you can expect from the offense, defense, and special teams:

Defense

expect the starting defense to open the game giving up some big plays and an easy TD on the opening drive

Offense

Expect the offense to open with a 3 and out as always, possibly extending the drive to 4 or 5 plays with the edition of a couple offensive penalties

Special Teams

expect the punt team to see more action than all the other units combined

Bold Prediction

Aaron Rodgers will get turf toe after kicking the field in a show of frustration over the inept offensive play calls from his buddy Hackett to bits

Just saw highlights and looked as though:
  1. the DT Taylor looks like he could be a keeper,
  2. Olu looks as advertised and will be a Brick type piece in the future,
  3. the RBs, Agent 0 and Davis look real good,
  4. the young CBs 29 and 37 look like they belong,
  5. Brownlee shows signs of belonging, and
  6. the 3 and 4 QBs will be able to keep Travis' seat warm while he rehabs.
JD seems to always find an UDFA or two who can contribute and this year is no exception. Also like that we are finally able to draft for the future and not necessarily an immediate contributor. See W McDonald, Olu, and the two RBs as examples.

This sounds good and I hope it works out. I have always felt JD has tried to do this the right way.

Hackett is the issue with the offense. His play calling blows. Predictable offenses like his are obsolete. The guy has no clue on Offense.
