Giants agree to trade OBJ TO The Browns

They were talking about it this morning on good morning football and it makes sense that what the Giants can do to make all of this better for the recent lose of moves they’ve made. Just trade the Cardinals a second round pick for Rosen. Then trade their first round pick with Miami and with the 13th pick draft DJ Metcalf and whatever other pieces they need. We all know Miami will give them much more then just their 13th puck to move up.
The secondary player that the Giants got from the Browns is younger than Collins, he fits better into the system and he can cover. So he may end up being better than Collins for them anyway. So if the Giants make the right moves they may come out on top of this anyway. I hate the Giants as much as any Jets fan, so I’m hoping they screw this thing up but it is very possible that they could make out very good on what they’ve done so far.

OBJ is one of the most dynamic players in the NFL. But he’s got WR Diva disease. He always seems to go all bonehead at the wrong moments and hurt his team. And it rubs teammates wrong. That’s why I don’t want players like this on the Jets. And you can bet that’s one big reason why Gettleman wanted him gone, too. Good Morning Football talking heads don’t seem to talk about that much. They’re too busy worshipping the guy.
My impression was that the safety the Giants got in return (Jabrill Peppers?) was more of an “in-the-box” safety. Closer to the LOS type. Not really a coverage guy.
Bottom line: the Giants are getting killed for this trade. But we won’t know the real value of the trade until we see how the 1st and 3rd turn out.
Yea , Peppers was a local kid , Don Bosco Ramsey.where they won back to back state championships ( my sons alma mater and valedictorian for his class ) had to brag a little ), and then switched to Paramus Catholic where they won a state championship .
Drafter # 25 overall but just didn't really play to his anticipated level. We'll see how he progresses .
