I don't view it as a difference of opinion at all between RS and JD, if anything they are in sync. If JD is trying to trade DM or anyone else for that matter, why would the RS say we have no use for this guy? That would just hurt JDs bargaining position.

A coach can have both. (e.g.- Madden)
Pete Carroll couldn't do both until he got to Seattle.
I'm reserving judgement until I see what Saleh can do with this year's improved roster.

This is absolutely the year Saleh has to show/impose a style on this team. He also needs to prove he can make in-game adjustments which for me is the most valuable intangible of a head coach.

@jetgreen13 I have similar concerns (albeit early ones) on him, especially after seeing a few quarters last year where the team either just didn't show up or was highly disoriented for professional-level football.

He does seem very likeable, and I am giving him the benefit of the doubt due to the super young and inexperienced group we had last year.

Wouldn’t that then indicate a split between the GM and HC . That would be the start of the demise of this regime . Why is it that in the lane of the Jets everyone is always waiting for the next worst shoe to drop ? I get the media, but I will never understand that from fans who root for a team while expecting the worst and bitch when the worst happens . I don’t care how bad it looks, my outlook will always be positive .

Well I like Saleh and what he brings to the table. Its just a question if the Players(Vets) buy in. So far it looks like they have. Losing may change that. Saleh has to handle that when and if it comes. If He can he will be successful.

I'm not sold on Zach though. I feel He holds the ball too long and makes poor decisions after that. Yeah, yeah He had no weapons blah, blah,blah. Heard the same crap about Sam and he got beat out by Mayfield(The Guy I wanted them to draft). If they had kept Sam I believe we would all be talking about how good Malik Willis looks in Camp. Just my 2 cents.
