Today, STH's got an email to reserve playoff tix before 9/10.
So a team that was 4-12 last year is asking for your credit card info on a $1M or more bill before the season even starts. Obviously, the Jets are expected to win the division. Maybe the NFL is like harness racing used to be with an "owner's race" every so often to provide a windfall to insiders? Maybe all these years the Jets have really been a set up to win big when the gamblers least expect it?
Turns out that you just give them your card info and they reserve the seats, only to charge the card if and when a home playoff game is scheduled. It's a NFL rule that they decided to make mandatory to all teams this year so that's why we got this offer.
It's all a little silly, but the concept of a Jets home playoff game is quite exciting. Can you imagine the place if we had an actual AFC Conference Championship at New Giants Stadium? It would indeed be epic.
BTW: Prices are quite reasonable with the regular season price as the basis for the wild card game and the AFC Championship only $60 more
