if winston is there at 6 IMO we simply cannot pass on him..
besides, 1st round QB's no longer make a zillion dollars with their rookie contracts..
Would it be crazy if I said I still believe Geno can be a good QB?
It seems like the whole world has given up on Geno, but I'm not ready to call him a bust after only two years, sometimes QB's need a little bit longer to develop, and I love his physical tools; decent size, good arm and can make all the throws, throws a nice tight spiral, and can make plays with his legs when all else fails. I'm not saying he's gonna be great, I'm just more willing than a lot of people to give him another year before I make any final judgements. Am I nuts?

no your not I am not sure he could be a good QB but maybe a decent one like I said before you can't have him in a west coast offense that is for the cerebral QB's but you put him in a vertical,spread,or run and gun type offense and he will win some games.

i would be shocked if smith doesn't get a chance to keep his starting job.. my guess (like must of us here) is he'll have to beat out a rookie & the matt moore's of the world.. & if he wins the job, great, go get em geno!!
but i firmly believe a village idiot cannot be the long term anwser at QB though.. million dollar body.. 10 cent head.. we'll see..
