Recent reports have suggested that perennial Pro Bowl running back Le'Veon Bell is on the trade block. Bell signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with the New York Jets this past offseason. ... One positive for any potential trade partner is that the Jets would be on the hook for his remaining signing bonus.

recent roster moves have suggested this as a possibility, what is your take on it...

should they trade him?
where to if yes?
the main question is why now, and is he really not the team leader the press has made him out to be?

No, I don't like it
He should be in a great spot to help Sam develope with this new line
Sam gets all the benifits that he sucked last year because of no line.
Not for one of the best RB in the league?
I'm really disgusted with this team
Not that , that is anything new

i'm pretty good at spotting a phoney.. what's his face we traded to seattle comes to mind.. bell?? no.. he comes off as a real pro & definitely at least takes the lead as far as dealing with the media & interacting with the fans.. hell, even trying into year two, to be at least publicly supportive of a HC that never wanted him..

unless we can fleece some organization the way we just did seattle, i would say no.. the guy could not be more prepared to have a comeback player of the year kinda season..

again, **** gase..

I'm a no. He seems genuinely dedicated to the team and by all accounts is a team leader. Add in the facts that the "O" line has been improved, he's in great physical shape, and has the skill set to get the job done. It does look like maybe they are setting him up for a trade which is, in my opinion, a shady deal.

Dont get the Bell is a team leader narrative.
Never has been a team guy since he entered the league. He was a cancer in Pitt.
Last year didn't show up for camp, frequently appeared on TMZ clubbing and partying. 2 Instagram thots , 911 call "dont know what they were wearing, they were both naked when I left them this morning " To sick to practice or play so let's throw a bowling party and post it on Instagram the night before thegame. Now bitching about reps and calling the HC a liar regarding his hamstring tightness. Where is the leadership. Last in, first out. More focused on dropping shit rap tracks than football. If Douglas can get something for him, he should deal him now, his contract is goingtomake it tough. . Add the pick to his 2021 arsenal and use it on the rebuild.

There is a report on the Jets app (not sure how to post a link) on how Gase and Bell has a sit down to clear the air. Looks like their relationship has improved since last year. Hopefully Bell isn’t going anywhere. IMO Darnold needs his help and experience to continue to grow.
I agree with all of that above said by Tony but I still see Bell as a good teammate and a positive for the younger guys.

Tony's evaluation of Bell's past is right on, but, what I'm hearing from a couple of people I know in a position to know he has a different mind set from what he had then. They both tell me about the same thing. Besides wanting to prove he still has it he is wants to help the Jets make the playoffs. Is he just putting on ? I don't know, but they don't seem to think he's anything but genuine about helping the team. The Jets can't really afford to cut him and finding a trade partner would be a tricky affair at best, especially considering the financials. Next year the Jets would be in a better position to cut him if they wanted to.

we all know bell's history in pittsburg as well as here..

i feel safe in saying bell has made a real effort to being a team guy for a HC who he damn well knows never wanted him..
