Isaih Pacheco Scouting Report

Isaih Pacheco is a willing and active participant in pass protection, giving his quarterback bit more time to scan the field. He has active eyes in pass protection, and always looking for work. Isaih has a strong lower body always keeps his legs churning and has a tendency to fall forward. He possesses good burst through the lanes. He has even demonstrated the patience behind the line of scrimmage as he waits for holes to develop.

Pacheco displays great vision to read the hips of the blockers in front of him and has good footwork to hit the cutback lane when necessary. He has good speed to get to the edge should he be forced to bounce the ball outside. He trives with creating even a small gap to gain limited yardage with a small stutter step to catch the defender on their heels.

Isaih pad level is stupendous as he inititates contact. He plays small through tight running lanes. In the open field, Pacheco displays the ability to stick his foot in the ground in order to change directions and cover more ground in space. He has even busted out the occasional hurdle, putting his athleticism on display.

Areas for Improvement

Isaih's ability as a receiver out of the backfield is limited production. He has only caught 15 passes in two year at Rutgers. Pacheco's hands showed to be inconsistent and unreliable as a he has focus drops. His contact balance, the ability to keep the steam moving forward without much loss to acceleration is a work in progress. He keeps his legs churning but does not possess the trait to bounce off those tackles and continue to work in space.
