So who is sicker this Monday, the Patriots or the Detroit Lions who are about to anoint the defensive genius who shipped 41 points to a backup QB as their new head coach?

I think Lions fans will be angry that the Philly fans broke the Detroit record for most cars burned during a Championship celebration (Tigers, of course).

This was probably the first time since the Single Wing* formation (or if ever) that a game was decided because one quarterback caught a pass and one didn't.

Later

* In the Single Wing formation that I played in high school, there was a lot of razzle dazzle, and the quarterback was always an eligible receiver.

Well I know the Pats don't care about Sept. games
Guess that defense still thought it was Sept.
That's the defensive game plan that took 2 weeks for Bill to come up with ??? Pathetic

I was shocked by Belichick after the Game. Wasn't just a quick handshake or just walking off the field. I don't think he has any prior ties to
Pederson.

Yeah, that was very surprising to see. Someone said that brady, as usual, left the field without shaking anyones hand

Yes, it's funny that Eagles' fans have marked a Superbowl victory by rioting.

If the Jets ever won a Superbowl it would be marked by an epidemic of elderly Jets fans being delivered to the morgue with big smiles on their faces. Not to mention the air display of flying pigs over Metlife.

An amazing game and an amazing result. Doug Peterson is a great head coach that made great decisions. Bowles would have punted in two situations that Peterson went for it.

So true, and this has been mentioned over and over again in hopes that Bowles will somehow gets the message. Doug Pederson has cracked the code on how to defeat Belichick...and that is to stop being a wuss.

Eagles win so this is the best SB ever. Pats lose, but more importantly the Cowboy fans can no longer be arrogant fucks and say the Eagles have never won a SB. On top of that the Eagles are better than the Cowboys for years.

Agree, it was a good day. Just to see Brady's face as he left the field was priceless.

I hear the NFL network hopes to return to their usual Cowboys programming as soon as possible...

I too hope this puts a fork in Dallas for at least the next few years....hopefully forever !!!:global (47):

Pederson went into that game understanding something no Jets coach has ever understood throughout the entire Belichick/Brady run, and frankly that no other coach in the NFL understands either so far as I can tell, but I've been saying it for years ... You DON'T beat the Patriots by kicking a bunch of FG's and not gambling on 4th and short. That may be a recipe to compete and win verses other teams, but its a recipe for failure verses the BB/Brady Patriots.

Pederson went into that game fully comprehending that and determined not to fall into that trap. If there was a decent opportunity to go for it on 4th down and extend drives, he was going to take that gamble, and he knew you could kick FG's if you had no choice, but you can only win this game by scoring a bunch of TD's.

He coached that game so aggressively you'd have thought he had Joe Montana on his side, and Foles rewarded his faith.
