give him a full off season at left tackle to get better prepared for a full season at said position this might be a steal... he has the flexibility to be the left tackle just as we saw last season he was worn out from not having the preparation to play that many snaps... think he will be fine but this opens up the possibility that left tackle in the draft is not a high priority for this regime... then again he could be the bridge guy to allow a prospect to develop...
Yea that's how I see it... In a rebuilding year... without a clear #1 franchise LT in this years draft this is a good sound move
Only first year is guaranteed I believe. There weren't too many options, we didn't have a LT on the roster.

Agree, but I hope we look to grab a developmental guy later in the draft. After Ben we have nothing on the left side.

I don't necessarily hate the Ijalana signing, especially for depth. But if he's the plan at LT for 2017, it could get ugly.
