I’ve just realized that I truly don’t believe I can ever trust a QB the Jets ever draft again. No matter what round it’s in, it just doesn’t ever seem to work out! This team might actually be cursed.

So you’re saying that the Jets would have won multiple SBs with Darrell Green, instead of Dan Marino? I think you might be forgetting about the rest of that stacked Redskins team that came with Darrell Green at that time sir!

Like running back Timmy Smith? Like 2 journeymen QBs? I'm not sure about 2 sb titles but I'm pretty sure that the 86 Jets go to the superbowl with Darrell Green covering WR1...even with all of their injuries. The Jets tried to recreate the steel curtain but forgot that the steel curtain had Mel Blount at CB. And BTW, the 86 Jets were stacked. With Marino instead of O'Brien, teams still would've been able to light up our secondary.

Drafting QBs just don’t seem to work out for the Jets. Not since Joe Broadway anyway! At least not a high round draft pick. Any QB drafted above the 3rd round will come with expectations and it just doesn’t seem to work out for the Jets that way. Draft a QB from the 5th-7th round and maybe we’ll hit on a gem. No expectations, the QB can sit and learn 2-3 years if necessary and grow to being someone good to maybe even great. Even a undrafted rookie might be the best move. Who knows at this point!
