  1. TE Gavin Escobar
  2. TE Nick Truesdell
  3. C Erik Austell

  8. RB Cyrus Gray
  9. RB Juwan Thompson
The Jets ended up signing some other including TE Neal Sterling and DL Lawrence Thomas(practice squad).

Escobar, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $4.21 million rookie contract with the Cowboys and was testing the open market for the first time in his career when he signed a one-year. $885,000 contract that included $80,000 guaranteed with the Chiefs this offseason.

Unfortunately, Kansas City elected to Escobar loose this past weekend.

In 2016, Escobar appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and caught four passes for 30 yards receiving and one touchdown.

Day late, dollar short?

This should have been done back in May. Now I understand all these guys had jobs in May, but why are they bringing in so many? Like they're trying to build a team? It's way too late, the damage is done. 2-14 here we come.
