Week 11
As I type this (11/11) we're just 2 days away from the New York Jets Week 11 game. On paper, it doesn't look to be a close match. The Patriots are 8 and 2. The Jets are 2 and 7. The home field advantage, such as it is, sides with the Patriots. No matter where I look, it's the Patriot's game all the way.
Still, it's an NFL game. That means there will be exciting plays, and these can occur for either team. A Jets defensive lineman or line backer whose name I don't even know can recover a Patriot fumble. Players can tippy-toe the sideline for a first down or TD. Perhaps that rare 2 pointer, a safety, will pop up.
And then there's that nice dark ale and the snacks I've laid in for the night. It would be a shame to waste them on a re-run of Gilligan's Island, right?
