FINALLY!!! I met him at a game once. Signed a jersey for me.
Klecko deserves it. I was young when he played, but I remember the Sack Exchange defense. Glad to see him get the recognition he deserves. It’s be cool to see him and Revis get in together. Two great Jets.

This awesome..........been waiting and arguing many years for this.............guy was a gamechanger on the field and had to be game planned each week. All I ever had to hear were HOF OL tell the stories of who the toughest matchup was........guys like Anthony Munoz. His opinion goes much further than some pencil neck geek with an agenda.
All that Joe suffered from was not being on a winning Super Bowl team.........that standard is what has led to a lot of the logjam. Maybe not so deserving players got in mainly because they were on a title team..........with no game being more team oriented to succeed, it's an unfair glass ceiling that has existed on single players. Guys like Stabler were no less a QB than Bradshaw........but The Snake went ignored far too long. IF Jim Marshall had just one Lombardi, I guarantee he'd be in already. Lynn Swann vs Cliff Branch.

Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko and Ken Riley have been named the first three senior finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Those other 2 guys played the game exactly like Klecko did so he’s in the right company. Took way too long if you ask me .not official yet.......still needs 80% of vote but that is supposedly a formality.

Chuck Howley, Joe Klecko and Ken Riley have been named the first three senior finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.
It is close, but not 100% done. He still needs that 80%. Generally, it's a formality, but he played for the Jets, so you never know.
6 made it to final 3 vote.....Kuechenberg, Gradishar and Sterling Sharpe were others beaten out.....not a bad group either. Still amazed a prolific tackler like Gradishar has not made it yet......he was all-time leader when he retired. This is another that was badly missed.
All 3 belong in the HoF.
