Emery is listed at 6'0" and 215 pounds. He has been timed running a 4.42-second 40-yard dash and a 4.2-second shuttle run. The Destrehan, Louisiana native also has a 37-inch vertical leap. The five-star running back also received offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL), Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas and USC, among others. Emery is a “densely built back with a powerful, muscled up lower and upper half,” 247Sports director of scouting Barton Simmons wrote in the running back’s scouting report.

Areas for Improvement

Emery is too indecisive and hesitant at the line of scrimmage. He does not have elite vision or strength. He has enough all around game to be a three down player at the next level. He is not the most instinctive runner and too often tries for the big play, dancing and losing yards. He lacks the natural powere to push the pile and feels more comfortable avoiding contact. He lacks the size to be a true power back. He has a lean frame and lacks ideal bulk or muscle for the position. He doesn't have great strength, lacking a power element to his game to break many tackles.
