Keshunn Abram Scouting Report

Abram has excellent technical ability at all stages of the receiving process — those being release, route running, catch point, and after the catch. He can gain separation on release with quick footwork, impressive agility, and technically refined handwork. He’s a handful for defensive backs to contain right from the snap.

Abram's footwork and agility are apparent in his route running. He makes adjustments with ease due to his lateral agility, and the deceptiveness of his footwork can shake defensive backs out of their skin. He also displays football intelligence in that he is able to ghost into spaces in zone coverage and create big plays this way. Keshunn’s intelligence is also on display with his vision as an after-the-catch threat.

Areas for Improvement

He could use a little more physicality in his game. He doesn’t bully cornerbacks at the line of scrimmage when faced with press coverage. At the catch point, he isn’t a physical threat either. If this is apparent at the college level, it will only be exacerbated in the NFL.

Keshunn Abram Career at School

Prior to Kent State, Abram played his two first years of eligibility at NW Mississippi Community College. His freshman campaign played in all 11 games recording 2 catches for 35 yards. In 2018, played in all 10 games recording 21 catches for 336 yards and a single touchdown.

He transferred to Kent State where he went on to contribute for three seasons. In his first year he saw action in 8 games where he recorded 8 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown. He continued the following year as a senior in the shortened season to only put up two catches in four games played.

In his fifth year, he recorded 47 receptions for 699 yards and three touchdowns in 2021. He contributed in each of the 14 games in which he played.

Keshunn Abram NFL Draft Player Profile

Abram's footwork and agility are apparent in his route running. His intelligence is also on display with his vision as an after-the-catch threat. His lack of competition will knock him down a peg. He could catch on as a rookie free agent and prove his worth through developmental option unless he can prove he can be a valuable special teams player.
