Keyshon Camp Scouting ReportCamp is a versatile defensive lineman that plays with leverage at the point of attack whether inside or outside. He keeps his eyes in the backfield when inside, he moves linemen to either side with strong hands. He plays with good leverage, even on the nose. He is a hustle defender with a good bull rush. He rarely goes to the ground shows good balance. He delivers a strong punch and uses his hands to shed blocks to move plays in the hole or outside the box. Keyshon is a thickly built defender with abnormal strength. He shows good lateral agility challenging inside with quickness and brute strength. He has fluid footwork to redirect. He is regularly the first off the ball with good snap anticipation. He faces double teams and holds the line. Stays alive against the run and mobile quarterbacks, shedding to either side to chase.

Areas for ImprovementKeyshon's durability over his college career is what stands out the most, and teams will take that into count when scouting him. He needs to improve his hand placement and technique. He sees the ball well but is stuck in traffic, does not shed to make plays often enough. He lacks the speed to turn the corner consistently. He is too often washed out by stronghanded blockers. Camp's agility is not a question but misses tackles when he does not square and break down properly. He appears to have only average arm length, and ballcarriers too often are able to shield him with a stiff arm to jar him or miss direct his pursuit angle. He has good strength, though his marginal closing ability. He is inconsistent quickness off the snap prevents him from being an elite pass rusher.

Keyshon Camp Career at PittsburghKeyshon Camp was rated the country's No. 17 defensive tackle by ESPN, No. 27 by Scout and No. 29 by 247Sports. He compiled nearly 120 tackles over his final two seasons at Lake Gibson. As a senior, had 47 tackles and 18 tackles for loss in leading his team to the state playoffs for the second consecutive year. He played under Coach Keith DeMyer. Attended Pittsburgh and as a true freshman, and redshirted. Camp's redshirted freshman campaign, he played in 10 games starting eight at defensive tackle. He missed two contests due to injury. He totaled 19 tackles, one tackle for loss. He also forced a fumble and four breakups. Following year, as a redshirt sophomore year he played in seven games. He made three starts at defensive tackles. He sustained a season ending injury at Notre Dame and missed the balance of the year. He totaled 14 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. In 2019, an opening day starter at defensive tackle, Camp sustained a season ending injury in the first half against Virginia and was lost for the season. He has a sack assist and two additional hurries in his limited action against the Cavaliers. Returned in 2020 ready to go, played in six games making three starts at defensive tackle. He totaled six tackles on the year.

Keyshon Camp NFL Draft Player ProfileCamp’s versatility inside the interior defensive line shows he can play in 1, 2i and 3 tech. Camp’s use of his hands gotten better, whereas he seemed to play stagnant at times. Camp does have a nice little sidestep in his repertoire.
