This is a move I love here. The kid is 22, 6'2" @ 220 pounds and got significant playing time last year. Showed signed of being a average starter at worst. He won't stay on our practice squad long. He will either be moved up to our active team or claimed by someone else rather quickly.

I sure hope Joe knows something about Vedvic that we don't. From what I've read about him we still need a kicker and I'm a little surprised they let Dortch go. Guess for now I've got to have faith in Joe but I'm a little queasy about it.

He has an extremely strong leg, but in my experience coaching soccer players for 20 years if they have a strong leg they usually never develop true accuracy. Since most NFL kickers are former soccer players the same holds true. I would rather have a kicker that is money from 35-45 than to have the occasional 60 yarder.

He definitely has a strong leg with a 90+ yard kick on his resume but he didn't play in 2018 because of injury and sucked in this years preseason. This is not a fact that instills confidence in me. Joe must certainly know something about him that I don't because like I said, in my mind, we still need a kicker. I hope he makes me eat my words but like you I would rather have the accurate kicker than the 90 yard can't get it between the upright long ball knocker.
