Lost a dear friend this week to Blood Cancer

Sad part is all the people that I warned about the shot he was one of two that said he should have listened. His kids talked him into it because of his work that he was in. Was he 100% sure?......no but this thing is a real killer & it stinks that so many people will die because of this. You all know my Jets side but you don't know my Serious side. One life of many lost too soon. This one hits home as he was one of those real true friends that did not judge you & would do anything for you. I still can't believe he is gone. Life is so much bigger than football.

I've lost my sister and several friends, on their birthdays, I always do something to honor them that was specific to them (i.e. wine and a book for my sister, a day of Hammond for an old friend, etc.)

I try to think of it as just being glad I knew them but some of them are hard to take, especially those who went to the next level way too early. Me? You'll know when I'm gone, it will be just before the Jets finally get into the Super Bowl.
