He's coached TE's, DL, and OL among others. And quite frankly I think his age is irrelevant. I can only wish I will look as good as he does at his age. IMO, he's the very best candidate and a logical one. He knows the NY market and has experience coaching here for many years. He's also a very good talent evaluator. He's seemingly made many successes out of players that I never thought would go anywhere in this league. Todd Bowles does NOT have the kind of impressive background that Mike Westhoff does. Bowles should never have been hired in the first place. It's a crime that Westhoff hasn't been given a shot.......

i've always been a big fan of westhoff & campaigned right here at JFU that he deserved at least an interview after ryan was fired.

You are correct the way I remember it? I really don't know what that's all about? However, everyone knows Mike Westhoff wants the NYJ HC job. The things he says, the way he's chosen to make NY his home even when he's a native of PA. To me it is obvious that he would very much like to be the HC.

For the sake of the fans Woody needs to shove his illogical dislike of Westy up his ass. This is about hiring the right guy for the job. Mike Westhoff IS that right guy........

Now....Do I know that he's surely be a success? NO. I really don't. I am merely confident in him as a talent evaluator and teacher. I also think there should still be a GM that is willing to work with Westy. None of this forcing someone on the GM or vice versa. There has to be a mutual respect for each other in knowing that Woody is going to let FOOTBALL people run the team. Woody's job is to sign checks and sign checks alone...............
