My plan for the rest of the year and the offseason

My step by step plan would be.


1. Start Petty the rest of the way We need to evaluate.. If he isn't playing better than Fitz after 5 games, get Hack in there for the last 2 and see how much improvement there has been...

2. If Petty was benched to gauge Hack... Sign Nick Foles or Mike Glennon to compete with Hack.. No Franchise guy to draft Rd 1 this year

3. Trade Richardson for a 2nd or a 3rd and 6th

4. Draft a CB RD1.... Inside Cover LB Rd 2... OL depth the rest of the way

5. Cut Jarvis Jenkins, Erin Henderson Gilchrist, Giacomini and Harris frees up 21.75 Mill in cap space

6. Restructure Revis bring his cap # down to about 7.5mill or cut him... either way save 8 million. Move him to safety

7. Restructure Mangold bring his cap number down to $6.5 mill save 2.5 million

8. Skrines goes strictly in as the slot CB... He's not an Outside guy.. Average there better perfect in the slot

9. resign CB Daryl Roberts.. young shows some decent play good depth

10. Marcus Williams is also better Outside then in the slot... Leave HIm, Roberts, Burris and draft pick to fight for the Outside spots and depth

Leaves us about $29 Million under the cap... get another ILB and OL....

I think if we get the QB situation right it'll trickle down and help the D...

10. Marcus Williams is also better Outside then in the slot... Leave HIm, Roberts, Burris and draft pick to fight for the Outside spots and depth

Was drafted by the Patriots, we claimed him so we take on his contract...

Marcus Williams is a RFA, so the Jets will likely low-end tender... They could place a 2nd round tender to make sure no one signs him away and we lose him for free... This way if someone really wants him they must surrender a 2nd round to us...

Marcus Williams has a high ankle sprain, out a few weeks... I would place him on IR, and open up a roster spot...

But do agree both are keepers...

we have two players on the practice squad that deserve a chance...

SAF Doug Middleton
OG Craig Watts

but I would suggest grabbing someone like CB Jacoby Glenn from Chicago Bears practice squad...
