According to a report on NFL Network, Goodell will create the position of "special counsel" to handle the initial disciplinary process and also create opportunities for leave with pay once players are formally charged with crimes.
I believe this will remove Goodell as the person making the disciplinary decisions. That's good. Seems like the NFLPA is against this though. There should be more to this deal shortly and i'll let you guys know.
