to many moving parts when it came to the draft but if you look at the two players we took with the picks we got for him, an intricate piece for our offensive line, and a skill player at wide receiver who has potential. not to mention were able to steal away a player because they could not afford to re-sign him is not really true but sounds better. i got the feeling that Russell felt like Carroll & the GM were trying to re-kindle a fire from SB runs without reloading the type of roster they had when they made the runs; i.e., they were putting the load on him to outplay the talent on the roster to keep SEAT as a contender.
then, he had enough. akin to a Rodgers in GB scenario but Russell wants to win; not just get paid.
