ESPN's Jamison Hensley confirms the Ravens are expected to franchise tag LB Matt Judon.

That's how things have been trending with not much progress in long-term talks. Judon is coming off career highs in 2019, leading the Ravens in sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (4) while grading out as PFF's No. 14 outside linebacker. There are rumblings Baltimore could trade Judon, but he's not going to reach free agency. Judon would make $16.27 million under the tag.

I'm not surprised at this. Personally, I would strongly consider doing the same thing to Anderson and trading him instead of just letting him walk. I realize that we would wind up paying him more than he's worth if we couldn't find a trade deal but I have a strong hunch that we could still move him and get something in return. Gut feeling. We are going to lose him anyway to a receiver needy team with more money to spend than we have.

Franchise tag = $18 M
Transition tag = $15.8 M

Guarantee this is the guideline to which he basis his value at even tho he is a part time target, not worth getting screwed by this... Let him walk not worth the headache to hope a team offers a quality pick for him...

I think Dallas would spend the money without hesitation and they have lots of it, over 90mil, even with a couple of big decisions like Prescott, Jones and Cooper. They have expressed interest in pairing Anderson with Cooper if in fact they get a reasonable deal done with Cooper. Of course that info is all hearsay. I think oftentimes these sports reporters just try to get something started.
