Here's my first stab at it. To use a oft-used Bill Parcells line, I reserve the right to change my mind:

Jacksonville Jaguars: DE Aidan Hutchinson

Detroit Lions: DE Kayvon Thibodeaux

Houston Texans: OT Ikem Ekwonu

Jets: DE Travon Walker

New York Giants: OT Evan Neal

Carolina Panthers: OT Charles Cross

Giants: DE Jermaine Johnson II

Atlanta Falcons: QB Malik Willis

Seattle Seahawks: CB Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner

Jets: WR Garrett Wilson

Barring a trade, I’d be ok with those two. Wilson looks like a cheetah (not Hill) the way he moves and Walker has the goods to be very good.

I could live with it.
But I would hope for better - much better.
I guess he doesn't think as highly of Hamilton as many draftniks do.

my only problem with Walker is there is a bigger leap of faith that his physical talent will translate to more production that he did not experience at the college level.......so I see it as a combine fueled ascent and it makes me hesitant.

We have two top 10 picks and the best Cimini can come up with is two boom or bust players.

that is true, but keep in mind, he was playing on a line that will most likely have 3 first round picks so there is wealth as far as stats go to spread around there.

also, they played a 3-4 so he was a down linemen more than a defensive end with studs at LB & safety too... again, further adding to divvied stats

Having said that, i share in your hesitancy. the thing that makes me feel better about him that Vernon Gholston is that GA lined him up everywhere, and he produced so he is just as much of a player as an athlete; VG was all about the measurables.

Curious why you think both are boom or bust prospects
Well Walker’s stats aren’t comparable to his workouts which is indicative of a workout warrior . Show me on the field and I’ll buy . What exactly is the difference between Walker and Thibs?

I’m worried that despite his production on field, Wilson will be a jag at the next level. He reminds me of a guy who’s already reached his limits

I would be happier with getting one of the OL and one of the Edge guys at 4 and 10, if they keep the picks. I think 1 or both of those 1st's might be traded to stockpile picks. JD maybe able to pickup another 1st if certain teams become involved.

Cine- safety
Davis- DT
Dean- LB
Wyatt- DT
Quay Walker- LB
Tindall- LB
Kendrick- CB

these guys are guys Travon played with who are also going in the first 3 rounds.
i only point that out, because there are only so many stats to be had when you're one of 8 draft picks coming from the same defense.
none of their stat sheets are filled to the rim, because there were so many above average players.

think about it, you have 8/11 of a starting defensive NFL unit on one college team.

I’m not arguing your point, but you can also look at it from another perspective and we have seen it with Alabama draft prospects. Can a prospect look a lot better than he is because he is surrounded by 5 stars?

yup...you are correct. we saw that first hand with Milliner. ;)
we also saw Gholston have a good season in College, and great combine...and we snatched a workout warrior. ;) ;)

Travon just strikes me differently; he just doesn't test like an athlete in running, jumping and benching... he has smoothness in the way he changes directions to a ball carrier, and bends around a blocker, and takes the proper angles on a runner.

i also believe the unfilled stat sheet comes from being asked to play inside and outside, and specialty coverage packages. He was never asked to be just a DE.

i would love to be a fly on the wall during his interviews to get a glimpse of his IQ and football acumen as compared to Thibs, who is downright impressive.
