I personally want to publicly apologize to you for the bullshit you went through with this organization. Yes your record warranted you getting fired but not in the middle of the year. Not IMO anyway. With the defense and standard you upheld and the way you kept this team together, you didn’t deserve this.
This is obviously proven by the way the team has fallen totally apart since you’ve been gone. Most Jets fans did not agree with the firing. I personally didn’t agree with it but I understood because of your coaching record. I now realize how wrong it was to have let you go and I just want to apologize to you for co-signing on this BS.
I personally would have rather they gave you the rest of the year with the team and if they didn’t make the playoffs (AT THE LEAST) then IMO firing you would have been warranted. But, Woody Johnson and maybe even Aaron Rodgers wanted this to happen in week 5 and man, are we all regretting it now.
Nothing against Jeff Ulbrich but he clearly is not ready and equipped to deal with this mess of an organization like you did. Especially since you planned and wanted to demote or even fire A-Rod’s do-boy anyway and they cut you by the knee caps before you could do so.

I’m sure there would have been better head coaches that could have gotten this team and your other Jets teams to better records but this team was at least disciplined and fought to the end. Well they were disciplined as compared to what they are now. They don’t even deserve to be considered a real NFL team now.
What’s most telling here is that this team was better with you and Zach Wilson than it now is with Brich and Aaron Rodgers. How is that even possible, I don’t know but it sadly is. If this is what Aaron Rodgers wanted all along, the team to himself and total control, now he has it and he can’t hack it.
Rodgers now has to deal with his legacy being tarnished greatly by this, in which he may not even care. He was never a true leader and it’s being proven now more than ever. Woody has to deal with the decision he made to fire you in week 5. Which we all know he doesn’t care.
But most of all, for us fans anyway, we now have to deal with the fact that this team is once again in shambles and it may take years to recover from this. So once again, we fans (well most of us anyway apologize) and wish you were still here with us!
