While I'm a huge Saleh fan, I disagree/agree with this quote.

While he is right in his overall intent, would the Packers be as good if Davante Adams was not playing, and Rodgers is a first ballot HOFer. Would the Bills fare as well without Stefon Diggs?
We need , besides balance, a marquis type receiver around Zach to further improve his game.

Exactly what has the Packers won with Rodgers and Adams ? Was he even on the team when the Pack won the SB with Rodgers at QB ? I get it, offensive football is exciting and fun on game day but it’s about winning a championship.
Championships are won by teams not units .

It may be fun to watch the Jets go up and down the field on game day but at the end of the game if we lose how much fun will it be . If our defense keep playing the way it currently is, our high powered offense that people want to see will never hit the field enough to excite anyone. We’re getting trampled every single week and all everyone cares about is building an offense instead of a team .

Well they were in the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME last year and just so happened to run into Tom Brady and his loaded Buccaneers squad.

And this year they have the NFL's #1 Record and will imo make it back to the NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. And then anything is possible.

Right where they were before they defense started playing well. It also happened to coincide with them moving their stud DT back inside and stopping the run inside of him being outside which weakened their defense.
Listen I am not opposed to having another receiver to the fold and even have 1 in my mock draft in the first round . All I’m stating is that coach had a point about building up the overall team instead of focusing on putting weapons around Zach Wilson . It’s a lot easier to score points when the defense gives you a short field than it is to hit on long passes or drive the length of the field consistently. It’s also easier to score if your offense has the ball instead of sitting on the sidelines because your lousy defense can’t get off the field .

Well actually the Packers are actually quite good without Adams. Coming into this year they were 6-0 without Adams. Then they beat the undefeated Cardinals. The next week Rodgers had COVID and Adams was back and they lost to the Chiefs with Love at QB. I could be wrong with those facts, but I think I remembered them correctly. If the Packers have to let him go for cap reasons then the Jets should break the bank for him.

Adam's is 29, he's not going to sign up for a rebuild. If he leaves the Packers, hes going to want to go to a contender

I've heard this saying before.

However.

Players chase the $$$$ these days.

Even Tom Brady went to a Tampa Bay franchise that hadn't made the playoffs in over 10+ years. He went there for that $100M over two years. Tampa Bay Buccaneers were not even close to being a contender (before Tom Brady).

Also..

Kenny Golladay took the money and ran to a non contending Giants Franchise.

Carl Lawson ran for the $$$ to a non contending Jets franchise. Corey Davis too.

I personally don't want Adams only because he's approaching 30 years old as a WR but (a lot of) these players of today's game will put winning on the back burner and chase their $$$ first and foremost.

Look at the list over the previous 10 years. Where FAs. Elite FAs sign with crap franchises and non contenders; but yet get paid the big bucks.

Brady went to the Bucks after guarantees were made that other players would be signed
Golladay took the money and called it a career.
Lawson limped to the Jets. He has never been anything but a place holder for the IR.
I'm surprised you didn't bring up your last man crush, leveon bell, the man who was going to single handedly turn the Jets into Super Bowl contenders...
You can observe free agency, players who love the game and want to win will always choose contenders. Guys who chase the money and join shit teams almost always give shit performances

i like the idea of signing up and coming stars at WR from another team who drafted, and trained them. The bust factor at WR is massive!!
in the future, adding an "AJ Green", an "Adams", or a 30 something former superstar...but they have to be the missing piece to a SB Run.
