SNY: 1-on-1 with Coach Bowles

Bowles made some mistakes but I expected it from a rookie HC. Bigger issue is why cant Jets Draft a QB? Look at this years Drafting at QB, Every QB Drafted & starting is doing great. Even Dallas QB drafted in 4th round. But yet our 2nd round QB looked awful in pre season & will look awful in reg season too. I dont get why Jets cant get it right & keep passing on good QB's in Drafts. Last time we got the QB right? 1965-Namath! Jets have passed on so many QB's in the draft its comical. From Moreno to this years Draft Jets cant get 1.
Bryce Petty was sharp in this year's preseason, but unfortunately suffered that non-throwing shoulder bruise that limited him during the season even if the team wanted to hand things over to him it wouldn't of been a practical move... Once again the so called faith in Geno, is a far fetch one that the media keeps hope alive that the team would make the ultimate substitution for more slapstick gossip...
As for Christian Hackenberg it will be at least two more preseasons before he is even ready to compete for the starting job... He has all the tools but mentally after the final two seasons at Penn State he was beaten down physically and mentally and that takes some time rebuild his confidence... We seen it he has a deadly strong arm, prototypical size and right now with his happy feet in the pocket his accuracy seems to be slightly off, okay moderately off... Like Petty the year before he looked jumpy in the pocket but give him time I believe in Coach Patullo will turn things around and instead of carrying four quarterbacks this year next year we should only carry two on the active roster with one on the practice squad in case of injury...
