We're just 21 days away -- 3 weeks --from the first regular season Jets game. It will be on the left coast. That's Monday night, 8:20 PM EDT against the 49er's in San Francisco. This poor old country mouse is already considering the snacks. Some good, dark ale's a given. I'll be checking the bookie numbers the day of the game to see where the punters are putting their money.

18 days 'til the Jets make their appearance at Levi Stadium. As a first rough cut, the books are listing the odds as about 70/30 in favor of the 49er's. We may be in for a rough ride in a game predicted to have a lot of scoring.

Today's 8/28/24. We're 12 days away from the first Jets game of the regular season. The bookies are still sifting the bets and setting the odds. Lady Hope, from what I've heard, has scored a ticket on the 50 yard line.

This poor old country mouse will have a brewskie and some snacks beside my armchair at 8 PM on the 9th. The cable bill will be paid up.

I never put any stock into week 1. Most starters haven't been hit yet, and it takes at least a game to get into the season. Especially since the new CBA. Always big upsets, the typical "now we have the blueprint to beat (insert team). I'm hoping for competence and most importantly, everyone to come away healthy.
It's a long season, don't get to high or low off week 1. Just get high

Whiskey, beer and various recreational drugs should always be fully stocked and frequently replenished....

We're now a week -- 7 days -- away from the Jets first game of this season. The bookies, not noted as die-hard Jets fans, have the line at -192 for the 49er's. That's giving them a 66% chance of taking away a win. We loyal fans of the Green Gang have some real hard rooting to do. This poor old country mouse will be glued to the flat screen, sending all the good vibes I can muster.
